What’s an Embeddable Badge and What’s it Good For?

For those that don’t speak ‘internet’, an Embeddable Badge is simply a tiny application that occupies a portion of a webpage (ex. your website or a Coalition Partner’s website) and does something useful with information fetched from GivingConnected. It’s a great interactive way to share your content wherever you wish (you may even choose which content types). You have the flexibility to create multiple Badges. Why would you want to? Good question. Different sites may have certain requirements or preferences, such as: Overall dimensions Light/Dark color scheme to fit in better with the website Content allowed (for example, one site may allow you to display your Photos, another may not) Go ahead - try it out. Select the various content types (Requests, Offers, etc.) to get an idea of how it works and what you could share. Easy to create: simply make a few selections and then copy the supplied website-code to where you want it. Done! CAUSES/TEACHERS: Imagine how useful this will be when displayed on websites of your supporters - blogs, businesses, celebrities, churches, and others. Envision the helpful connections that can be made and the additional support and engagement you will create. BUSINESSES/BRANDS/CELEBRITIES: Here’s an easy way to share your CSR/Giving Back efforts and get more people involved in Causes that align with your values. CHURCHES: Easily include your Giving Program right on your website. To engage your membership and increase Giving, you could also include Badges for special projects your church is supporting or a Badge for each missionary and ministry you sponsor.
